Our Story

family-owned construction

DeHaan Construction was founded in 1985 by Darrel DeHaan after nearly a decade of experience working in the construction industry under the guidance of his father-in-law. What began as a small, family-run operation has grown into a respected general contracting firm with a portfolio spanning commercial, industrial, agricultural, and residential work.

Based in southwest Montana, we serve clients across the state with a unique structure that keeps project phases in-house—from financial planning and design to site work and mechanical systems. This integrated model allows us to reduce overhead, maintain tighter control over quality, and deliver exceptional value at every stage. At the heart of our company are five brothers, each bringing their own skill set to the team. What began as their father’s vision has grown into a legacy they now carry forward—continuing the tradition of craftsmanship, integrity, and hard work.
